1. Welcome to COACHING TOOLS for youth personal development
Welcome to the Coaching Tools online course! During this course you will learn in depth about coaching tools and how to use them to support personal and professional development of young people. You will acquire knowledge on orientation teaching and its potential in youth work. As well you will get to know various methodologies and their employment strategies together with tips, advices, tools and activities to help teachers, youth workers and career advisors. All tools are designed to work with young people from the age of 10.
Coaching Tools is project created between Creative Activity Center Foundation (Poland), Cooperativa Sociale. Milepiedi (Italy), OpenCom (Italy) and Cazalla Intercultural (Spain). We know how diverse society is in the world; in every country, we meet with learning difficulties, with the excess of theoretical knowledge over practise, that is why we want to use our intellectual product to facilitate the work and also to guide those who teach the objectives.
Through this project, we also intend to contribute to achieving the goals outlined in Agenda 2030 through a quality orientation of the new generations that can be managed in a shared manner by multiple professionals working in education and schooling.
Indeed, the General Assembly of the United Nations organization, in defining the 2030 Agenda, has set as its goal the transformation of the world also from the point of view of education so that it can grant supportive and equitable access to quality education at every level and to all.
It, therefore, takes the form of a broad and universally shared policy agenda consisting of 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets to be achieved.

Have you ever been in this point of your life, as a coach, youth worker or an educator, that you missed some new methods, tools and ideas?
Have you ever wondered if you do your job correctly and you are competent enough?
All these questions or situations can appear in our minds, and it’s not easy to find the answers for them.
As our international team from Fundacja CAT, OpenCom, Cooperativa Sociale Milepiedi and Cazalla Intercultural consists of youth workers, coaches, psychologists and educators we have decided to create two amazing tools which will be useful for all of us and will help finding answers for many questions which we and probably you as well, already have.
The first tool is our guidebook – you can download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yqrvw9x7fwihnrr/coaching%20resize.pdf?dl=0, where you can find a lot information about guidance, personal and professional development, non-formal education, methods of teaching and ideas and tools for orientation.
The second tool is MOOC course, which you already started checking. We hope that both tools will be a big help for you and we believe you will check what we have prepared for you in every section.
Enjoy our course and we hope to hear some comments from you!
2. How does the Youth-mooc platform work?
A mooc is a massive open online course. There is no limit to the number of participants and you can register at any time. It is completely free and you will receive a certificate at the end.
This course has 4 modules, which you can do at your own pace, although we advise you to do one module per week. It will take you about 2 to 3 hours to complete.
Each module is divided into thematic sessions, and each session has different activities: videos and texts with content and activities and tests to check your knowledge, reflect and work on the topics. Please note that you have to complete each step before you can move on to the next one. The tests can be repeated several times until you pass them.
In addition to that, in some sessions we will pose questions for you to reflect on and interact in the forum with other participants in the forum. This is a very important part that will help you to integrate what you have learnt, make sense of it and also help you to meet other youthworkers from other parts of the world. The team of trainers will keep an eye on the forum to give you feedback and answer any questions you may have.
At the end of some sessions you will find additional materials, links for further research or activities from the manual Guidebook – coaching tools to support personal and professional development of young people.
If you would like to have more information about Coaching Tools, we recommend you to download the Guidebook – coaching tools to support personal and professional development of young people. This is a precious tool that will help you in dealing with this topic with your group of young people.
In addition, you can always write to us at mooc@cazalla-intercultural.com for any questions, technical problems or any other kind of support you may need.
Welcome to the Coaching Tools community and enjoy the journey!
